Tag, I'm it!

I just got tagged by my niece, Monika, so here are my answers! 1. What were you doing 10 years ago?
  • Wow. Ten years ago I was dating a jerk, thinking I was going to marry him. I was writing either the second or third of my time-travel romances, and spending most of my time watering the 1/2 acre lot I somehow ended up with thanks to the jerk.
2. What are 5 things on your to do list today?
  • Ride with Vanessa onto Hurlburt Field to take lunch to Ian. It's my job to distract him with pithy conversation while she sneaks a gift for him inside.
  • Check out those black patent leather shoes I noticed the other day.
  • Have dinner with Ian, Vanessa and Abigail at some place that serves amazing crawfish. Sorry, can't remember the name at the moment.
  • Play with Abigail.
  • Write one scene
3. Snacks I enjoy --
  • Well, that depends on the day and my location. Some days, I'm all set if you give me an endless supply of ice in my cup. Other days, I might have a hankering for pretzels and ranch dip. Then, of course, there's Vanessa's hot spinach artichoke dip and Ben & Jerry's peach ice cream. Mmmmm.
4. Places I have lived --
  • Montana, which is still home to me. Salt Lake City and various towns in the Salt Lake valley. Provo (I will never go back, even after 30 years.) Now, if you want to talk, let's list the places I plan to live before I'm through!!!
5. What are five things you would do if you had a billion dollars?
  • I'd make sure my mother had enough money to live comfortably as long as she's here on this earth.
  • Make sure my kids and grandchildren always had resources to draw upon if and when life got hard and they needed a helping hand.
  • I'd create a fund to give gifts to talented kids who come from families who can't afford to nurture their talents.
  • I'd pay cash for my dream house.
  • Make sure I was completely debt-free (which I am, mostly, since I'm not big on credit)
Okay, that's five. But just for good measure ....
  • Buy myself that truck I've been wanting since I was about 18. You know, that truck my late ex-husband promised to buy me when we got married?!? Probably something like a Ford Ranger at this stage of the game. Classic Black, I think.
6. People I would like to know more about . . . I really can't think of anyone. I have never been into the whole celebrity scene.
  • Do they have to be living? If so, the list is probably quite short. If not, then I'd go with Presidents Garfield and McKinley, both assassinated. Benazir Bhutto. Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) Supposedly, we're some kind of cousins so many times removed. Winston Churchill (also a distant relative.)
Now it's my turn to tag someone(s), so I'm tagging Vanessa, Valerie, and Terry

Fridays Feast #5

Appetizer

Do you consider yourself to be an optimist or a pessimist?

I consider myself to be an optimist most of the time.

Soup

What is your favorite color of ink to write with?

Blue. Medium point.

Salad

How often do you get a manicure or pedicure? Do you do them yourself or go to a salon and pay for them?

Not as often as I'd like. I love to have my nails done, but having nails plays havoc with my ability to type. I have trouble justifying the money for a manicure, and even more trouble justifying the expense of a pedicure, even though I feel wonderful when I have either done.

Main Course

Have you ever won anything online? If so, what was it?

No, but I don't enter contests online, so it's not surprising!

Dessert

In which room in your house do you keep your home computer?

My home computer is in my office. My laptop is usually next to my favorite chair in the living room.
